System RequirementsBRB-ArrayTools is Windows-compatible software, Windows NT/98/2000 or later. It is designed to be used as an add-in to Excel 2000. BRB-ArrayTools is no longer supported for Excel 97. The Version 3.0 release includes an option for generating the MDS plots in PowerPoint Version 9, PowerPoint is only required for users interested in this option. It is recommended that the user have at least 256MB of RAM. It is possible to run BRB-ArrayTools with less than 256MB of RAM; however, some procedures may be very slow or may not be able to run at all, depending on the size of the dataset. For producing high-resolution graphics, it is recommended that the user set the display color palette to True Color. To change the display color palette settings, click on the following sequence of items: Windows Start Button à Settings à Control Panel à Display à Settings. The software can load a maximum of 250 arrays consisting of 35,000 genes. However, other limitations may depend on the user's system resources.
